Like most large organisations, British Railways issued its own stationary to its employees. Individual items were given their own catalogue numbers, allowing departments to order replacements easily from central stores and enabling accounting control. This list intends to list such items as are known. It specifically excludes wagon labels, window labels and rolling stock items, which all had numbers in the BR catalogue system.
This is based purely on items in the editor's collection, those found in basic research and any information sent by readers. Nothing resembling an official catalogue has been found. Catalogue numbers are linked to images where possible. Additional information is always welcome.
