Northern Ireland

It appears that no licences exist yet for the Translink network. The UK's ORR has economic regulation oversight but does not licence undertakings.

Republic of Ireland

The Commission for Railway Regulation issues licences, apparently normally valid for five years.

Iarnród Éireann Railway Undertaking

Note that the regulator's register originally had the renewal expiring the day before it took effect on 24 September 2019, since corrected.

NIR Operations Ltd (trading as Translink)

Licence CRR-ECR-LA-19001: from 15 October 2019; to expire 14 October 2024

Licence specifically covers cross-border services.
