Names are given in the form that National Rail uses. All known English language differences (e.g., punctuation or capitalisation) that appear on signs displayed since 1 April 1994 are shown in the accompanying box with links to photographs where possible. Signs labelled 'for...' are treated as part of the name (on the basis that some stations, e.g. Ashchurch for Tewkesbury, are named 'for' somewhere on National Rail) whereas 'alight/change for...' are treated as an instruction in the same way as 'way out' would be. Filter on signs to view all known cases where station signs differ from the official National Rail name. Note that in marginal cases the benefit of the doubt is applied and the detail is shown.
